Buffy glanced up
from Faith's arms and saw
"
"Time for a demonstration that we're serious," Willow muttered.
Buffy started to move after her friend but Giles stepped in front of his former Slayer.
"Let her do this," he advised. "She's got a lot of pain to release, almost as much as you do."
With a few chanted words and with a major energy blast, the door shattered.
"Stay
back,"
Buffy grabbed Giles' arm as he started to follow his mate and Initiative shock troops began pouring out of the door.
The vampire witch
moved closer and closer as the men fell back until they were all on the front
porch of the 'abandoned' mansion.
"Oh my God," Giles muttered. "She's so powerful!"
"Kick ass!" Faith agreed with a grin.
"Come on, we've got to get the people out of there," Buffy said, dashing across the street. She skidded to a stop inside the main door as the door to the stairwell closed. The Slayer looked over at the security guard as he fell from the ceiling onto the floor.
He squeaked in fear when Buffy grabbed him by the collar and pulled him to his feet.
"Sound the evacuation alarm, she's going to bring the place down!" Buffy shouted. The young man nodded and Buffy grabbed his pistol from his holster and threw it across the room. "Do it! We have to get the people out! That's an order!"
"Yes, Ma'm!" he shouted and grabbed the telephone and punched several numbers. "Red alert! Evacuate immediately! Red alert! Evacuate immediately!" he shouted and then punched a very large red button on his console.
Buffy nodded as klaxons began sounding throughout the building and she could hear footsteps pounding in the stairwell. The Slayer turned, grabbed Faith and dashed for the door.
"Come on!" Buffy shouted, "Before they figure out to start shooting at us!"
The two Slayers ran back to the tree-line just as people began pouring out of the building. Both of them knew that the complex was a lot bigger than it appeared on the surface and weren't surprised when people just seemed to keep coming out the doors in the front and back.
Giles paced
impatiently as they waited for
"They know how to fight vampires," he muttered. "They could hurt her."
"I know, Giles, I know," Buffy said softly.
Both Slayers and vampire were thrown off their feet by a massive explosion under their feet followed by several more. They looked up from the ground in time to see the roof flying off the building like a bottle rocket. People began screaming and running farther away than their 100 feet safety zone as pieces of the shattered roof began raining down in all directions.
"
"Giles!" she squeaked and decked him.
"Way to go, B," Faith said behind her as Giles fell against the grass, semi-conscious. "Vampires with souls are so damned sensitive."
"If that was me in there?" Buffy asked.
"I'd be pounding out the flames with my bare hands," Faith answered calmly. "Whoa!"
Buffy looked up as Giles shook his head and glanced back towards the Complex.
Walking through the
flames was an untouched
"She looks like a goddess," Giles muttered, his face in awe.
Buffy and Faith were
stunned as well, there were few things vampires feared and one of those was
fire. It was always a sure death for a
vampire but
Giles dashed forward to catch her as she fell.
"This is getting to be a habit," Faith complained as the vampire lifted her into his arms.
"Let's get her back to the mansion," Buffy suggested.
Buffy yelped when
Faith tackled her to the ground just as bullets whizzed over their heads. Giles turned, protecting
"Run!" Faith yelled and dragged Buffy to her feet, pulling her towards the woods.
Both Slayers grabbed
Giles' arms as he held tightly to
Faith turned with a pistol in her hands.
"Get them into the shadows!" Faith yelled at Buffy.
"We don't kill, Faith!" Buffy snapped.
"I'm not a Slayer, Buffy! They're trying to kill us!" Faith argued.
"Faith!" Buffy shouted.
"Just get them safe!" Faith cut her off and trotted back towards the sounds of the pursuit.
"Come on, Giles!" Buffy growled, pulling on his arm.
Buffy pulled the
vampire to his feet again and took
"Easy,
Giles," she said softly, hating how cool
"Of course," Giles said calmly, trying not to sway on his feet.
Buffy led the vampire to the caves where she had encountered Adam. She knew the Initiative/Council knew about the caves but she knew they needed shelter quickly and hoped that the Initiative had abandoned the caves in favor of the 'abandoned' mansion cover.
Buffy sighed with relief when they entered the caves and found no sign that anyone other than a few kids had been there. Empty beer cans, cigarette butts and soda cans littered the caves just inside the entrance but deeper in the caves were clear and clean.
The Slayer gently
lowered
"How are you doing? Do those bullets hurt?" Buffy asked, looking around with her Slayer eyesight for weapons, enemies and listening for anyone following them, including Faith.
"They hurt like bloody hell!" Giles complained. "I'm weak, I won't be much use in a fight."
"I know, not without going into a blood frenzy and possibly losing your soul," Buffy nodded. "Let's hope they don't think to look here. How's Will?"
"Alive," Giles muttered. "Well, not exactly alive but undead alive."
"Is
Giles managed to smile and shift back into human face.
"Stay here," Buffy instructed and moved to the front of the cave again, listening for pursuit and frowning at the sound of gunshots.

Faith dropped out of the trees behind the soldiers, hitting one across the base of the skull with the butt of her gun and kicking the other one alongside his head, dropping him. A third soldier swung his rifle at Faith's head and the Slayer barely dodged it. She followed up with the heel of her hand under his nose, breaking it.
The brunette Slayer flipped over backwards, away from the remaining soldier's high kick and ended up standing on her feet. Faith and the soldier parried punches and blocked each other's kicks. Faith realized in moments that she was equally matched with the soldier and reversed the gun in her hand, shooting him in the knee.
As the man screamed and rolled on the ground, Faith grabbed the pistols and rifles from the fallen soldiers and ran in the direction she had seen Buffy disappearing in.

Buffy paced
restlessly as she waited for a sign from Faith.
She finally gave up and moved back into one of the tunnels where
The Slayer wasn't
surprised to find Giles worrying over the unconscious
"How can I help?" Buffy asked softly, staying slightly back from the vampires.
"I don't know," Giles muttered. "I think she'll be fine but I need to get out of here."
"Why? Don't tell me you're claustrophobic," Buffy frowned.
"No, but I don't think I can get through the night and a full day without feeding," Giles admitted, his eyes with flecks of yellow through the blue.
"Let me check outside if we can make it back to the car," Buffy said, standing up easily.
The blonde Slayer returned to the front of the cave but stayed in the shadows as the sounds of boots reached her sensitive ears. Buffy glanced around a rock and growled as she took in the sight of Initiative shock troops beginning to explore the inside of the cave.
Buffy moved quickly and quietly back down the tunnel.
"Giles!" she hissed. "Gotta move!"
Buffy pulled
The Slayer was forced to turn on a small flashlight as they got deeper and deeper into the caverns. She didn't know her way around the mass complex of tunnels and dead-ends and didn't really care. She wanted to get her friends and herself away from the soldiers. Odds were that they had orders to kill anyone they caught, human or 'hostile.'
Buffy choose routes that didn't looked used very often and lost all sense of direction after several minutes. She finally stopped when Giles tapped on her shoulder, leaning heavily against a stone wall.
"Can't…lost too much…blood," he panted.
"Damn,"
Buffy muttered, setting
"Giles?"
"Right here, luv," Giles said softly, kneeling next to his mate.
"He's been shot
several times, Will," Buffy explained as he fell into
"He needs blood,"
"Yeah, unfortunately we've got shock troops on our case and I don't know where the hell we are in these stupid caves," Buffy added.
"Terrific,"
"Can you feed him?" Buffy asked slowly.
"No, I'm too
weak from the magic thing,"
"I wouldn't advise trying to get you out of here in the daylight either," Buffy complained.
"No, we're both too young," Willow nodded. "We couldn't even make it with blankets more than a few feet."
"What happens if he doesn't feed?" Buffy asked.
"He gets
worse,"
"You intended on turning him," Buffy countered.
"Yes,
eventually,"
"There's so much to talk about, Will," Buffy said softly, leaning against the cave wall. "I've missed you so much!"
"I nearly went
crazy knowing you thought I ran away,"
"We're stuck here tonight, I think," Buffy complained. "I can get out tomorrow, I think, and bring some blood and help back."
"Giles will
slip into a vampiric coma if he doesn't get blood soon, Buffy,"
"What happens?"
"He could sleep
for a month as his body tries to heal,"
Buffy frowned and stood up, beginning to pace.
She moved back down the tunnel and listened as the soldiers seemed to moving around in circles and hadn't ventured down their tunnel yet. Buffy was still frowning when she returned to the two vampires, once her best friend and mentor.
"What is it,
Buffy?"
"I remember when Angel fed, it hurt like hell," Buffy muttered.
"Aroused?" Buffy squeaked.
"Yeah, it's how non-violent vampires fed," Willow grinned. "Great sex, high arousal, fangs in the neck or thigh and the victim never knows it."
Buffy's frown
deepened as she appeared to think about
"What did it
feel like when Dracula bit you?"
"I don't remember," Buffy said softly. "Just that I seemed to enjoy it and want it again."
"And why are we
discussing this?"
"We need Giles more like Giles and to do that, he needs blood," Buffy explained. "Those troops aren't going away and I can't keep carry him very far in the dark."
"You're willing
to feed him?"
"Maybe," Buffy said slowly. "Can I feed him enough to get him back on his feet without knocking me out? Angel almost killed me that time."
"I can hold him
back from letting you get that weak,"
"I…oh boy," Buffy muttered. "How do we do this?"
"It doesn't
hurt as much if you're willing,"
"Well….uh…I'm not knocking your taste in men, Will," Buffy stammered. "But Giles really doesn't…he's cute, sorta…but he…he's like a father image."
"No offense
taken,"
"Ladies, as
fascinating as this is, I suggest that we get this over with and moving,"
Giles mumbled, stirring slightly in
"I can feed him a little, maybe get him on his feet," she suggested, her voice soft and shy.
Buffy felt Giles
moving off of the witch's lap, out from between them and moved closer as
Buffy pulled back
slightly, leaning her forward against
"Oh God, Will," Buffy whispered. "I always wanted to do that."
"Me too,"
"Shhhh," Buffy whispered. "This has nothing to do with you, me, Giles or Faith. I understand that. I love you, you love me, we love others. This is my way of loving and helping my best friends."
"I love him,
Buff,"
"I think I'm in love with Faith still," Buffy admitted.
"Best friends
again?"
"Yes," Buffy nodded.
Buffy's lips opened
readily as
Willow's hands reached out and ran her finger tips over Buffy's nipples through the Slayer's t-shirt and pulled back slightly as the Slayer gasped in her arms.
"Oh God, yes!" Buffy muttered and didn't care that it was Giles' hands removing her shirt over her head as Willow's lips followed, working over the Slayer's neck with the erotic skills of a vampire.
The blonde felt Giles' hands on her shoulders and it felt alright as Willow's lips worked down to Buffy's bra. With one movement, Willow had Buffy's bra undone and her lips on the Slayer's already erect nipples.
Buffy moaned and arched in Willow's arms.
"Sorry this is a little fast, luv," Giles whispered. "We're short on time."
Buffy found she couldn't answer as Willow's tongue tormented first one breast and nipple and then the other. Willow whimpered as Buffy's hands found her breasts and began reciprocating the arousal hitting both of them.
Buffy felt Willow's body jerk as she bit down on Willow's neck. The red head growled and Buffy raised up slightly as Willow's hands struggled with Buffy's jeans.
"Goddamn button fly!" Willow muttered and yanked at the material.
Buffy snickered and then felt her own body jerk and thrust against Willow when her friend's fingers sank into her warmth and wetness. Willow's lips moved to Buffy's neck and then lips as the Slayer began rocking against Willow's fingers.
Buffy didn't know if it was part of the vampire magic, the semi-public place of the cave, the danger of being found by enemies, or that it was Willow and Giles, but Buffy felt her arousal building quickly and powerfully.
"Oh God, oh God," she muttered. "Will!"
Willow's thumb began stroking Buffy's swollen clit and added another finger into the Slayer as Giles' fangs sank into Buffy's neck from behind, one of his hands clamping down over her mouth as Buffy stiffened and screamed.
Buffy's body jerked and bucked as orgasm and the feeding hit her like a tidal wave. She was still jerking when she heard Willow's voice telling Giles to pull back.
Buffy fell back into his arms as Willow pulled out of her with a whimper.
Willow followed as Buffy felt her body being snuggled by her former mentor and best friend.
"Oh God, oh God," Buffy muttered.
"I'll take that as a compliment," Willow grinned.
"Oh yeah!" Buffy nodded, her eyes filled with love for her best friend.
"Thank you, Buffy," Giles said softly. "I can never repay that trust."
Buffy shrugged and closed her eyes as the vampires wrapped their arms around her.

Faith ducked back into the shadows as she watched the Initiative troops milling around the front of a cave. She could pick out the platoon leader talking into his headset walkie-talkie and giving orders to the men surrounding him.
Their efforts seemed to be concentrated on the cave and Faith had a feeling that was where Buffy and vampires were. "Terrific," Faith muttered.
It didn't look like they had been found yet and Faith wondered if there were other entrances.
The last thing Faith wanted was Buffy back in Council/Initiative hands.

"We need to move, guys," Willow muttered, leaning over to kiss Buffy. "The sounds are getting closer."
"Okay, okay," Buffy muttered, running her fingers through Willow's hair as Giles nuzzled her neck. "This doesn't change anything, right?"
"No," Giles promised. "Just friends loving each other and taking care of needs."
"We've always loved you, Buffy," Willow nodded.
"Let's move," Buffy agreed and sat up. She began blushing as Willow handed the Slayer her bra and t-shirt.
"Might work better if you're dressed," Willow smirked.
"Oh, you are so in trouble for that," Buffy grinned, stuffing the bra into a pocket and pulling on the t-shirt.
Everyone got very serious when they heard muffled boots on stone and muted voices.
"Come on, let's try back here," Buffy suggested.
* * *
Buffy flipped the dark figure over her shoulder as she exited the cave, sending whoever it was to the ground, hard.
"Damn, B!" Faith moaned. "I always thought you liked it rough but could you wait till we get somewhere private?"
"You never cared before," Buffy smirked as she bent down to help Faith stand up. "Any troops around?"
"Nada," Faith said, brushing herself off. She suddenly grabbed Buffy by the t-shirt, almost pulling the Slayer off her feet.
"Hey!" Buffy protested as Faith moved Buffy's head to one side, taking in the fang marks and Buffy's pale skin.
Faith screamed, threw Buffy to one side and lunged towards Willow and Giles, drawing a stake.
"Faith, no!" Buffy screamed as Willow stumbled back into Giles.
"Constituo!" Willow shouted, raising her hands and Faith fell back into Buffy.
The blonde Slayer took advantage of the movement and wrapped her arms around her potential lover.
"It’s okay, Faith," Buffy said quickly. "I'm okay, it was consensual!"
"Goddamn vampires!" Faith growled.
"Buffy," Willow growled, her tone a warning.
"I'll talk with her, get to the car," Buffy said, holding tight to the struggling Faith.
Willow nodded, shifting back to human features, her eyes green once again instead of magic black or vampire yellow.
Buffy waited until Willow and Giles were out of sight before she let go of Faith and spun the other Slayer to face her.
"I needed Giles on his feet or we would have been caught," Buffy explained.
"So you got horizontal with him?" Faith demanded.
"No, not exactly," Buffy said slowly, blushing again. "Look, we've got to move! I'll explain, I promise."
"Then tell me on the run or I'll stake them!" Faith snapped.
Buffy set a brisk pace through the woods, knowing that Faith could keep up with her. "Giles was hurt and about to go into a vampire coma. I needed him on his feet."
"Why didn't he feed from Willow?" Faith countered.
"She was too weak from the magic," Buffy continued. "It was consensual and Willow made sure he didn't drain me too much."
"You smell like sex, B," Faith growled.
"The bite doesn't hurt as much if…if the human is aroused," Buffy tried to explain.
"So you made it with Giles? I know he's sexy but I thought we were going to work on us," Faith said, her voice catching with emotion.
"We are, I promise!" Buffy said, stopping and grabbing Faith's arms. She knew how difficult it was for Faith to admit to feelings, especially ones that hurt and wanted to reassure her would be girlfriend and one-time lover. "I didn't make it with Giles."
"Willow? Red? Oh sonofabitch! I know she's had the hots for you for years!"
"Faith, calm down, damnit!" Buffy snapped. "We…it…damnit! I can't say it didn't mean anything because it did. I love Willow and Giles but not like I could fall for you. Willow and I are friends; Giles could become a friend instead of a father."
"You still want to be with me?" Faith asked, tears filling her eyes.
"Yes! After we get back on our feet and I have time to do some grieving," Buffy said firmly. "I was in Riley's arms four days ago, I need some time!"
"You enjoyed it with Willow and Giles!" Faith said, her voice sullen.
"Yes," Buffy nodded. "And I'd enjoy sex with you right now but that doesn't mean the emotions are doing okay!"
"Let's get out of here," Faith said abruptly. "We'll work it out later."
"No staking our friends!" Buffy warned.
"Okay, okay," Faith grumbled.
When the Slayers got to the car they found a note on the front seat.
"Buff," it read. "We'll be back before dawn, get out of sight. Love you, Willow. PS: Faith, you're cute when you're angry and jealous."
"Bitch," Faith muttered.
Buffy tried to hide her grin as she pushed Faith into the car.
* * *
Willow used magic to shield her from sight when she left the note in the car and then created a false image of Buffy and Faith running in the opposite direction.
As she suspected, Initiative troops had been watching the car as firemen attempted to put out the massive fire from the collapsed mansion.
Willow stumbled back into Giles as the troops ran after the ghosts.
"Let's get out of here, luv," Giles said softly, lifting Willow into his arms.
"Gotta feed, too much magic," Willow mumbled. "Put me down, time for lessons."
Giles gently set Willow on her feet and held her close.
"What's on your mind, luv?"
"Teaching you how to hunt and take without killing," Willow explained.
"Attack someone? Doesn't that put one at risk for losing one's soul?"
Willow laughed gently. "Your accent dances all over the place between Ripper and Giles lately. You have to decide where your moral line is, my love. I'm willing to attack someone trying to kill me. I won't kill them."
"You've changed, Willow," Giles said softly, frowning slightly.
"Yes," Willow nodded. "I think being tortured for two years broke down a lot of your Willow."
"What did you do inside that building?" Giles asked as they moved quietly into the woods.
"Found the computer files on the DNA experiment on Slayers and vampires and zapped the computer main-frame. It spread to all the Council and Initiative computers, wiping out the DNA files. Then I found the main scientist, the one responsible…"
"What did you do?" Giles asked when Willow hesitated.
"I altered his brain syntax," Willow said softly, stopping by a tree.
"What?" Giles demanded.
"I twisted his memory and knowledge of DNA experimentation and theory," Willow explained. "He won't be able to experiment on any other Slayer."
"Willow, that's beyond ethical behavior!" Giles protested.
"So was wanting to turn Buffy and Faith into puppy mills, killing Riley, trying to kill Xander, Anya and Jesse, killing you, turning Buffy against me, attempting to kill all our friends in LA, and torturing me for two years!" Willow snapped, slipping into game face in her extreme anger.
Giles stopped, raising his hand for silence. Willow bent her head, listening as well. She nodded, hearing the soft footsteps approaching them. She raised 3 fingers and leaned close to her mate.
"Time to learn to be the hunter, not the Watcher, Giles," she whispered. "Use your strength and leap to that branch up there."
Giles frowned. His later adult life had been spent being the scholarly type on the outside, well-trained fighter under the clothing. It was for training Slayers, not for actual fighting though. Ripper had been in more than a few scrapes but those had been bar or street fights, not actual Slayer type fighting.
He nodded and bent his knees slightly. The former Watcher was astounded when he easily leaped 12 feet in the air onto a tree branch.
Willow smiled and melted into the shadows.
The three Initiative soldiers barely had time to react when Giles landed behind them and Willow attacked from the side, low and fast. One was down with a blow to his head, another was wrestling with Willow and the third swung a stick at the former Watcher. Giles leaped back and grabbed the soldier's arm in a Slayer taught move, breaking it easily. The man screamed as Giles continued the momentum, bringing the soldier into his body. The soldier whimpered as Giles' fangs sank into his neck, the vampire holding his other hand and body.
Willow's fangs were already in her opponent's neck and the man quickly went limp.
Giles growled when Willow pulled him back from his prey.
"That's enough, we leave them alive," Willow reminded him, pulling him out of the blood lust. He nodded and leaned against a tree as Willow fed from the unconscious soldier, regaining her strength from the magical use.
The former Watcher was breathing rapidly and he was trembling. Giles looked up and felt a growl deep in his chest when she looked up and he saw the desire in her eyes.
"What's happening?" he whispered as Willow stood up and grabbed him by his hand, leading him away from the soldiers.
"Shhh," she whispered and held up an Initiative radio. "To Initiative soldier types – you have three of your own down in the woods. Major blood loss but not life threatening. They are about 300 yards in the woods across from the Initiative Complex fire, due west. They need medical attention from a vampire bite. They weren't given vampire blood so they'll recover."
"Who is this?!" a male voice demanded. "Who the hell are you? Where are you?"
"I'm the vampire," Willow said sweetly and smashed the radio against a tree and turned to Giles. "What's happening is vampire arousal from feeding, especially since we're together and mated."
"Need you!" Giles growled, pulling Willow into his arms after they had moved deeper into the woods.
"Yes!" she growled, wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around his hips.
"Need you now!"
"Giles!" Willow whimpered as her mate turned, shoving her against a tree as one hand went under her skirt, ripping away her underwear and the other hand ripped the buttons off her blouse.
She knew they would have time to take things slowly and make long and passionate love later once they were bedded down for the day. For the moment they were almost in a frenzy.
Willow made a mental note to ask Angel if this was normal among vampires or not, later.
Her own hands fumbled with Giles' belt and zipper. Willow cried out as he entered her roughly. The female vampire's hands ripped open his shirt as they began setting a frenzied rhythm and dug her claws into his shoulders.
The red-haired vampire witch bit her lip to keep from screaming when Giles' fangs entered her as her muscles clamped down on him.
Giles held tightly to the tree as things began to return to normal, Willow clinging to him.
"Oh God," Giles muttered.
"Let's get back to the mansion, I want to snuggle with you," Willow muttered.
"Sorry, that wasn't very romantic," Giles said shyly.
"We'll snuggle, make gentle love and sleep the day away, my love," Willow promised.
"Is this normal between vampires?"
"I don't know," Willow admitted. "I'm going to ask Angel. Could be between mates. Throw in our souls at the same time and I think we're hitting a major connection."
"What about what happened with Buffy earlier?" he asked as they moved closer to the mansion.
"I love Buffy, Giles, but not like I love you," Willow clarified. "She gave us incredible trust."
"Yes," Giles nodded.
"It was nice though," Willow said shyly and smiled when Giles hugged her.
"Yes, it felt good between you," Giles nodded. "Faith won't let us near Buffy again."
"Nope," Willow grinned at the memory of Faith's enraged face when the Slayer had discovered Giles had fed from Buffy. She smiled as they approached the mansion, after checking that no one was following them. "I want to snuggle in your arms, lover."
"I love you, Willow," Giles smiled.
